In Daughters of Circe, I wanted to give life to the mythological legend of the daughters who, growing up in their mother’s shadow, undoubtedly inherited traces of her mysterious gifts. The red and yellow flowers surrounding them connect that inheritance to the natural world, echoing Circe’s knowledge of herbs, potions, and transformation.
