Inspired by a seaside moment from Some Like It Hot, this work strips the glamour from the cinematic image and reimagines Marilyn Monroe’s character, Sugar Kane, as a solitary figure against an eroding horizon. The vibrant energy of the film is replaced with muted greys and textured whites, transforming comedy into contemplation. The sea becomes a metaphor for memory — and for the fading heat of celebrity.
